What we collect
If you leave your email address on this site, we collect your email address and nothing else.
If you complete the waitlist questionnaire, which is hosted on Tally, we collect your answers. Some of those questions ask whether you are using a prescribed weight-management medicine and for how long. Answering them is optional and you can join the waitlist without doing so. We are telling you this plainly because an earlier version of this page did not, and that was wrong.
Health information, and why we handle it carefully
Information about medication you take is special category data under Article 9 of the UK GDPR. Where you choose to give it to us in the questionnaire, we use it for one purpose only: deciding what to make. Sweetness level, serve size, flavour and format. It is aggregated for product decisions.
We do not store medication status, symptoms or any health information against your customer record in Shopify. It is not used for marketing, it is not used to target you, it is never sold, and it is never shared with advertisers. If you would rather we did not hold it at all, email us and we will delete your questionnaire response while keeping you on the launch list.
We never buy, scrape, rent or otherwise acquire lists of people based on medication or any health condition. Every record we hold is one somebody typed in themselves.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
For your email address: consent, under Article 6(1)(a). For the questionnaire answers, including any special category data: explicit consent, under Article 9(2)(a). You gave it so we could build the right product. You can withdraw consent at any time and we will delete the record.
Who else sees it
The questionnaire runs on Tally and this store runs on Shopify, so those two providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. Nobody else sees it. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to any third party for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Questionnaire responses until the formula is locked, after which the aggregated findings are kept and the individual responses are deleted. Email addresses until you ask us to remove you, or until it becomes clear the product is not launching, in which case we will tell the list and delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to stop entirely. Email us and we will action it within 30 days, usually far sooner. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Shopify sets cookies that are necessary for the site to work, plus analytics cookies if you accept them in the banner. Decline the non-essential ones and the site behaves exactly the same.
Contact
Email the address in the site footer. A person reads it, and any message mentioning a medication or a symptom always reaches a person rather than an automated system.
